Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities with creative problem-solving ability
Previous SQL, SAS or programming experience is highly preferred
High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a time-sensitive environment
Minimum two plus years of undergraduate education or undergraduate degree
Knowledge of medical claims systems/coding, actuarial concepts or health benefits is a plus
Previous work experience in a professional service environment is desirable but not mandatory

Essential Functions\:

The Summer Intern position in Health Data Mining team will work on a number of client projects and health data warehouse activities. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Support ongoing validation of monthly data refreshes for warehouse clients
Assist with periodic warehouse reporting (i.e., dashboard creation and preparation of the monthly standard report package)
Assist with ad-hoc client requests that require data querying and manipulation
Assist with research and development regarding health cost and utilization norms, trends and clinical studies
